It's well over a month since the Nevada state Republican convention was recessed and it is becoming apparent that the Nevada GOP has not made any plans to reconvene. We have heard many promises... A lot of business was accomplished at the State Convention on April 26th, but the primary business of electing delegates to represent us at the National Convention was not completed. Those delegates will be paying their own expenses and need to make hotel and travel plans soon. Airline fares are increasing daily, and delays will make accommodations increasingly difficult to find. Therefore, a number of State convention delegates have banded together and made arrangements to reconvene the Nevada Republican Convention at the Grand Sierra Resort on Saturday, June 28 to finish the business. We are asking you to make the effort to attend this reconvention and stand with us to complete what we started out to do. This is not about one candidate vs. another. We are reconvening the Convention because we have a right, as State delegates, to have our voices heard. The democratic traditions that our great Country is built upon must be upheld. The State Convention belongs to us, the delegates, not to the appointed officials of the State Party. If a quorum (simple majority) of State Delegates is present, all business can be conducted legally. We've created this web site for you to RSVP and find out more about coming out of recess.
